DC voltage
Always touch the measurement probes behind the safety collar;
never touch a bare measurement probe!
Connect the plug of the black
test lead in the “COM”
connector.
Connect the plug of the red test
lead in the “V” connector.
Select the “V” function. The
display will show “DC”. If this
is not the case, press the
“SELECT” button so often until
“DC” appears.
Place the measurement probes
on the measurement object as
pole-correct as is possible.
If a minus symbol is displayed
before the measured value, the
measurement voltage has been
applied with reversed polarity.
If the warning symbol appears
in the display, the voltage is higher than 42 V.
If the display shows “OL”, remove the measurement probes from the
measurement object immediately.
WARNING
The input voltages may not exceed 1000 V DC. Never perform
measurements unknown measurement objects with a voltage
which could exceed this value.
