Intended use
The twin-pole voltage tester serves to indicate direct
and alternating voltages of between 6 and 690 V. The
voltages are shown numerically or in the form of a bar-
graph display. The negative polarity of the measured
voltage is displayed.
The voltage tester conforms to the standard for twin-pole
voltage testers (EN 61243-3) and protection type IP64
(spray water and dust protection), and can be used out-
side and in humid conditions (also in rainy conditions).
In order to suppress capacitive voltages/phantom volta-
ges, low impedance measurements can be performed. In
this case the measuring circuit is loaded with <200 kOhm.
The VC-56 model also has an audio-visual continuity
tester, background lighting, an integrated LED measu-
ring point lamp and a „single-pole“ phase tester func-
tion. Two micro-batteries are required (type AAA) for
these additional functions.
A rotating field direction display is provided for three-
phase current networks.
The voltage testers are permitted for use in excess vol-
tage category 3 systems (CAT III = domestic electrical
installations).

Voorgeschreven gebruik
De 2-polige spanningstester dient voor het weergeven
van gelijk- en wisselspanningen in het bereik van 6 tot
690V. De spanningen worden numeriek of via een
staafdiagramscherm weergegeven. De negatieve pola-
riteit van de meetspanning wordt weergegeven.
De spanningstester voldoet aan de norm voor tweepolige
spanningstesters (EN 61243-3) alsmede aan de veilig-
heidsklasse IP64 (spatwater- en stofdicht) en mag in de
open lucht resp. onder vochtige omstandigheden (ook bij
neerslag) worden gebruikt.
Voor het onderdrukken van fantoomspanningen is een
lage-impedantiemeting mogelijk. Hierbij wordt de meet-
kring met <200k
Ω
belast.
Het model VC-56 beschikt over een audiovisuele door-
gangstester, achtergrondverlichting, geïntegreerde
LED-meetpuntverlichting alsmede de functie van een
„eenpolige“ fasetester. Voor de werking zijn twee
microbatterijen (type AAA) nodig.
Voor draaistroomnetten is een indicatie voor de draai-
veldrichting beschikbaar.
De spanningstesters mogen in installaties van de over-
spanningscategorie 3 (CAT III = huisinstallaties) worden
gebruikt.
