f) Alarm for overloading
If a set limit value is exceeded, the measuring device will sound an alarm every 10 seconds
and “OVERLOAD” will flash in the display. Press any button to stop the alarm. However, the
“OVERLOAD” display will continue to flash.
This function cannot only be used for protection of the measuring device or a connected
load but also to signal when the load has exceeded the set limit value during operation.
You do not have to monitor the display all the time.
A power value (W) as well as a current value (A) can be set as limit value.
The function is deactivated if “0” was entered for both limit values.
If both values are programmed (e.g. 1000 W and 2 A), the alarm is activated when the
lower of the two values is exceeded (for the example above, the alarm is activated at
2 A; this corresponds to a power of 460 W for a mains voltage of 230 V/AC).
• If you have set the CO
2
emission (see section e) before setting the limit value for overload-
ing, you can proceed directly with the next step.
Otherwise, the set-up mode must be started by pressing the “SET” button (1) for approx.
3 seconds. “
” will be shown in the top left of the display and “24Hr” (or “12Hr”) appears
in the upper display. Press the “
” button (5) briefly 3x to open the limit value settings for
overload, see next step.
• “OVERLOAD” appears in the top of the display, the limit value for overload can now be set.
• Briefly press the “SET” button (1), then “W” flashes in the display.
• Toggle the limit value for power (“W” flashes) and current (“A” flashes) with the “
” (4)
and “
” (5) button.
• Briefly press the “SET” (1) button, the first position of the limit value flashes.
• Change the numeric value of the flashing input position with the “
” (4) or “
” (5)
button.
Briefly press the “SET” (1) button to activate the next input position.
After confirming the last input position, the display stops flashing.
