Security Mode
Security settings for the Bluetooth connection.
The security modes are defined as follows:
Mode 1: No security
Mode 2: Security at service level (PIN required)
Mode 3: Security at connection level (PIN required)
Mode 4: Security at connection level with encryption
(PIN required)
The specifications prescribed by Volkswagen require the use
of Security Mode 4.
After changing the security mode, you have to re-enter the
PIN in the Bluetooth software.
By clicking
Cancel
, you can cancel the program at any time without changing the configuration.
Clicking
OK
applies the data to the device.
Selecting
Set Defaults
applies the defaults (Buzzer Time and Power Off Time = Disable,
Security Mode = 4, PIN = Serial number of the VAS 5054).
The program closes automatically after transferring the new settings to the VAS 5054A.
