Rotate the volume 0 will pause the music (and the CD mechanism), so none additional function is allowed, muted
speaker icon appears to the right in the upper line of display; resume music playback when increases the volume
again (Play will resume at the site of activation of the pause), radio will display the volume level bar per 5 seconds.
