Support
User support for the Balloon Live Sensor is initially provided through the Balloon Live project
of the New Technology Subcommittee of the FAI Ballooning Commission. First source of
information should always be this user manual and the FAQ on the Balloon Live home page

. All user support is
provided by volunteers on a time available basis, so response times can vary.
Hardware support is provided by Volirium AG (Flytec Balloon) and their local representatives.
Warning
The Balloon Live Sensor does not contain any user serviceable parts. The device should
not be opened by the user, except for the SD card cover held by the large screw. Opening
the Balloon Live Sensor case will render it useless for competitions as the encryption key of
the device will be deleted automatically. The Balloon Live Sensor needs to be sent in for
repair to assign a new encryption key, which is not covered by warranty.
The battery cannot be changed by the user. In case the battery needs to be replaced due to
very low capacity, the Balloon Live Sensor needs to be sent in for repair.
If the battery is physically damaged (e.g. due to outside force), the entire device is not safe
for shipping. Support should be contacted immediately to discuss further steps.
