Remove the protective tape from the ring terminal on the rear battery’s positive
cable and insert it into the red cable connection boot (Figure 125).

With the ring terminals aligned in the center of the boot, slide the cables and
boot onto the positive terminal on the main battery disconnect and secure it
with the nylon lock nut (Figure 126).

Close the boot cover to protect against debris and weather.

Connect the negative battery cables to the negative terminal on the top of the
main battery disconnect and secure it with the nylon lock nut.

Pull any excess wiring back into the cab and tie it up and out of the way under
the dashboard with cable ties.

Check all wiring to ensure that it will not contact any hot, sharp, or moving
components and will not interfere with the operation of the vehicle. Secure all
wiring with cable ties and loom as required.

Check all hoses and tubes to ensure that they will not contact any hot, sharp,
or moving components and will not interfere with the operation of the vehicle.
