File
Numbering
[Series]
Stores the most recently used file number regardless of
deleted files or a change of memory card. This is useful
for avoiding the file name duplication when images are
downloaded to a computer.
[Reset]
Resets file numbering each time the memory card is
changed.
Battery
Type
To ensure the camera displays battery level correctly, set the type to
match the batteries used. Carbon-Zinc batteries are not recommended.
[Alkaline] When using Alkaline batteries.
[NiMH]
When using NiMH batteries.
[Lithium] When using Lithium batteries.
[Oxyride] When using Oxyride batteries.
Format
Memory
Card
[Format]
You can use the Format Memory Card menu to delete all of the content
that is currently on your camera’s memory card or internal memory.
Keep in mind that formatting the memory card or internal memory
will permanently delete all of the content
on your camera’s memory
card or internal memory.
This option will delete all of the content at one
time. If you would like to delete individual images, use the delete menu
in the camera’s Playback mode.

Allows you to turn off/on the image that appears by default on the LCD
screen every time the camera is powered on.
Default
Setting
Resets the entire menu and button operation settings to the initial
Factory Default Settings.
