9.1
Heating element maintenance
It is possible that during heating operation, contamination
may accumulate on the surface of the glass pane. The
possibility of contamination increases in rooms with higher
humidity and/or contamination and/or when air currents
directly come into contact with the heating element.
The surface of the glass pane can be cleaned using a
commercially available glass cleaner and a soft, non-
scratching cloth. Ensure that the heating element is switched
off (by the respective room thermostat) and cooled down.
You can use a standard fireplace pane cleaner if the
contamination is stubborn. Prior to using the fireplace pane
cleaner, read its instructions for use and any warnings.
9.2
Maintenance of the devices for room temperature control
The VTX-SP room thermostat is supplied with 2 lithium
batteries. The service life of the batteries is approx. 10 years
under normal use. Replace the batteries and reset the
current time and date when the "empty battery" symbol
appears in the display.
The VTX-FA or VTX-FU window contacts are supplied with a
CR 2032 lithium battery. The service life of the battery is
approx. 3 years under normal use. If the indicator lamp lights
up during each opening or closing process, the battery is
empty and should be replaced.

Disposal information
Electrical and electronic waste equipment often still contains
valuable materials. Therefore, please do not dispose of the
waste equipment in household waste, but use the collection
points of the municipality. Ask your municipal authority for
the locations of the collection points.
