Introduction to the Ecodesign Directive
Vitramo heating appliances are suitable for transmitting heat
within an enclosed space in such a way as to achieve and
maintain a specific temperature level that is comfortable for
humans.
The appliances used for this type of room temperature
control have to have an eco-friendly design as laid down by
Directive 2009/125/EC and Regulation (EU) 2015/1188
(ecodesign). In order to comply with the Ecodesign Directive,
heating appliances need to achieve a certain seasonal space
heating energy efficiency.
The correction factors F(2) and F(3) make a positive
contribution to the seasonal space heating energy efficiency.
With correction factor F(2) only one option can be selected;
with correction factor F(3) several options can be selected.
Added together, the factors correct the seasonal space
heating energy efficiency of the respective devices.

Controls for indoor heating comfort
Two control systems are suitable for ecodesign-compliant
room temperature control:
•
Control system of the VTX series.
•
Control system with room thermostat VTD-UP.
