Mounting
5.1
Mounting the heating element
Notes on mounting:
•
The heating element must only be mounted on a level
surface, or the surface must be levelled as such that the
heating element can be fitted without mechanical
tension/twisting during installation.
•
The surface where the heating element is mounted
should have a permanent temperature resistance of
85°C.
•
Minimum distances between the heating element and
objects as well as surfaces in the room, such as the wall,
the floor, a couch or a cabinet, must be observed – as
described in chapter 5.1.1 Minimum distances on
page 27.
•
The heating element must never be covered with
insulation or similar material.
•
Crossbars, support beams and rafters must not be cut or
indented for the required ceiling opening and the
mounting of the heating element.
•
Heating elements of the VH-I series must be mounted at
a minimum distance of 180 cm from the floor.
•
Do not place the heating element in the vicinity of
combustible, highly flammable and/or easily melting
materials.
•
The load-bearing capacity of the ceiling construction
must be checked in advance. Classified sound/fire
protection requirements are not fulfilled by the heating
element.
•
Prior to mounting, check whether there are any
concealed installation lines.
