EN
Intended use:
•
The Vitramo heating system is intended
exclusively for operation in enclosed
spaces (in the home environment, in
shops or other similar working
environments).
•
The heating elements of the VH-I series
are intended for ceiling mounting
(surface-mounted), suspended by cables
and suitable for insertion in a ceiling
grid.
•
Do not use heating elements outdoors or
expose them to water or moisture.
•
Avoid any other applications that are not
explicitly mentioned as intended use.
•
The heater should be installed in a
bathroom as such that the heating
element cannot be touched by a person
in the bath or shower. These instructions
must also be followed for room
thermostats.
•
The special regulations must be
observed when installing in damp rooms,
and the heating element must be placed
as such that it is protected against
splashing water!
•
The heating elements should, if possible,
only be operated with Vitramo
controllers with room temperature
control.
Electrical safety:
•
The Vitramo heating system must only
be installed by a recognised electrician.
This individual is responsible for
observing all the regulations, rules and
guidelines that are in force. This person
also has responsibility for proper
installation and initial start-up, as well as
for ensuring that the system does not
exceed the approved power
consumption limit.
•
The power cord must withstand an
ambient temperature of at least 90 °C. A
power cord of type H05SS-F meets this
requirement and is factory fitted to the
heating element.
•
If the heating element power cable
becomes/is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or their
customer service department, or by a
similarly qualified person, to prevent any
hazards.
•
The heating element must not be
mounted directly below a socket in the
ceiling.
•
Make sure the mains supply is de-
energised before carrying out any
electrical installation work.
•
The voltage specified on the type plate
must match the mains voltage.
•
It must be possible to isolate all poles of
the appliance from the mains supply
using a device with an isolating distance
of 3 mm (e.g. by using MCBs or fuses).
•
The electrical connection and installation
work must be performed in accordance
with the applicable regulations as well as
the specifications of the power supply
companies.
•
It is essential to ensure that the
protective conductor is connected
correctly!
