Dismounting the heating element
Notes on dismounting:
•
ATTENTION: Secure the heating element against falling
during dismounting. The heating element is held in place
with spring clips and pops out abruptly.
•
A small, thin slotted screwdriver is required for
dismounting.
•
Attention must always be paid to damage to the edge of
the glass pane. Both during dismounting and when the
heating element is placed down.
Dismounting steps:
1. A gap of approx. 1 mm is left between the mounting
frame, which is mounted in the ceiling, and the heating
element. Use a sheet of paper, for example, to identify
the bolts/spring clip of the heating element. Push the
screwdriver in the gap here.

2. Move the screwdriver down,
making sure that the
screwdriver does NOT touch the edge of the glass pane.

3. Repeat this process for the next bolt/spring clip if the
heating element is not yet loose. You may need to pull
down the heating element by hand.
4. Follow the mounting steps in reverse order.

Commissioning
After all devices have been mounted in all rooms, please
commission each room individually. The sequence of steps
for commissioning is dependent on which control system is
installed.
This chapter describes the main steps to be carried out
during commissioning. The manual of the control and
regulation components describes the individual products and
the respective operating steps in detail.
6.1
Commissioning the VTX series without VTX-G gateway
Carry out the following steps:
1. With every VTX-EU radio receiver: Turn the "Mode"
selector switch to the "1" position.
2. Switch on the mains voltage in the respective room.
3. Connect the VTX-SP room thermostat to any VTX-E or
VTX-EU radio receiver in the room.
4. Adaptive control of the heating start
a) Activate the heating function (CF28) in the
respective room thermostat.
5. If window contacts are present:
a) Connect each VTX-FA or VTX-FU window contact
to the radio receivers already connected in step 3.
b) Activate the opening message (CF08) in the
respective room thermostat.
6. Set the set point of the room thermostat to maximum
and close the windows so that the heating elements are
switched on.
7. Check the function of the connected devices. The radio
receiver goes into frost protection mode when the
window is opened. The illuminated LED on the VTX-E or
VTX-EU radio receiver shows whether the heating
elements are switched on.
8. You will notice a rise in temperature on the surface
after the heating elements have been in operation for
approx. 5 minutes.
9. Set the room thermostat to the desired value.
10. Repeat these steps for the other rooms.
