2.3 - BEFORE OPERATING

Make sure that the machine is only used

by who is familiar with the instruction

manual.

To ensure that you operate the machine

safely, before operating, it is necessary

to:

Check that all machine and attached

accessories are assembled correctly

and in good condition. Replace

damaged parts, as well as all other

used and damaged parts. Never use

damaged parts and accessories;

Check that all nuts and bolts are

tightened properly. It is important to

regularly review and adjust the machine

to the correct assembly to ensure safety

and machine performance.

Check that the safety devices are in

perfect condition and that they work

correctly. Never use the power tool if

safety devices are missing, inhibited,

damaged, or worn;

Make sure the switch is off when you

plug in the power cord. If the button

is damaged or does not allow the

operation of the tool to be controlled,

it must be repaired or replaced in order

to avoid unintentional starting of the

tool;

The carrying straps and the fixing

couplings are in perfect condition and

properly fitted;

Perform all the necessary adjustments

to the correct assembly of the machine

and if you have any questions or

problems, contact your official dealer.

2.4 - WHILE OPERATING

Keep other people away from

the working area (Perimeter > 5

m). Never operate the equipment if

animals or people, particularly children,

are nearby.

Also keep safety distance from objects

(vehicles and windows). Eliminate risk

of property’s damage.

Keep the work area clean, well

organized and well lit to reduce the risk

of accidents.

While operating, particles might be

projected and be harmful to the user.

Never point the projection pipe towards

anyone neither animals.

Only operate the machine on daylight

or with a good artificial light and

never use it under rain, storms and

particularly under thunderstorms.

Always wear personal protective

equipment. Using protection glasses,

a P2 protection mask, ear protection,

non-slip safety footwear, gloves and

helmet under proper conditions,

reduces the risk of injuries.

The clothing worn while operating the

machine must be appropriate and tight,

such as a work coverall. Do not wear

loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,

clothing and gloves away from any

moving parts.

When in use, place yourself in a stable

position and always keep your balance.

Do not use the machine on slippery,

uneven or unstable surfaces, or on

rough terrain.

Be aware of obstacles (tree stumps,

roots, moats). During operation, walk

forward step by step and observe the

outlet area of the blower tube. Avoid

walking backwards, thus reducing the

risk of tripping.

Do not cover the machine during

use. To avoid the risk of heat, keep

the ventilation openings permanently

clean and unobstructed to allow air

circulation.

2.5 - MAINTENANCE AND

CLEANING

Before starting cleaning, adjusting,

changing accessories, repairing or

servicing, you must unplug the power

cord from the wall outlet.

Replace worn or damaged parts

immediately so that the machine

is always operational and in safe

operating condition.

Cleaning:

The machine must always be carefully

cleaned after each use. Thus, it

prevents the residual organic matter

from drying inside the tubes and in the

collection bag.

Do not use aggressive cleaning

products. These products may damage

plastics and metals, compromising the

safe operation of the machine.

Maintenance:

Only maintenance works described in

this instruction manual may be carried

out; all other works must be performed

by an official distributor.

If any components or safety devices are

removed for maintenance works, they

must be repositioned immediately.

The maintenance of tools with double

insulation requires extreme care and

knowledge of the system, and should

only be performed by a qualified

technician. The replacement of

components of an electric tool with

double insulation should be done with

parts equal to the original ones.

Use only VITO-approved tools for this

machine or technically identical parts.

Not doing so may result in personal

injuries or damages to the machine. In

case of doubt, you should contact an

official distributor.
