SAFETY MEASURES
Before using the unit, read these instructions carefully
and pay attention to illustrations.
•
A travel iron will help you to take care of your clothes
when you travel or have a business trip, but it is not to
be considered as a substitute for a normal home iron.
•
Before plugging the iron in, set the AC voltage selec-
tor according to the mains voltage.
•
After using the iron at the mains voltage of 110 V
always set the AC voltage selector to the 220 V posi-
tion, this will prevent the iron from damage if it is con-
nected to the mains with higher voltage (fig. 1).
•
Do not connect the iron to mains sockets intended for
electric shavers (in long distance trains).
•
Use the iron only for the intended purposes specified
in the instruction manual.
•
Do not use the unit outdoors.
•
Before switching the iron on, unwind the power cord
completely.
•
The power cord is equipped with a “euro plug”; plug it
into the socket with reliable grounding contact.
•
Place the iron on a flat stable surface or use the iron-
ing board.
