you can do it w ith th e back side o f the m e a su r­
ing spo on (17).
• C o ffe e s tre n g th d e p e n d s on th e q u a lity and
g rin d in g o f c o ffe e beans.
• If c o ffe e is po u rin g o u t to o long, th is m eans the
c o ffe e p o w d e r is to o fine o r it is ta m p e d to o
strongly.
DESC A LING
For e ffe ctive op e ra tio n o f the c o ffe e m a ker w e re c ­
o m m end to rem ove scale eve ry m o nth and more
o fte n w hen using “ ha rd” water.
R egular d e scaling e xte nds the c o ffe e m aker o p e ra t­
ing life and d e crease s th e hazard o f dam agin g the
unit.
U ntim ely descaling, as w ell as no n -o b se rv a n ce of
the se in stru ctio n s and m isha ndling th e c o ffe e m a ker
are no t covered by warranty.
1. M ake sure th a t th e b u tto n (6) is set to th e p o sition
«OFF» (is in released po sitio n), and th e op eratin g
m o de selectio n kno b (8) is set to the po sitio n “ • ” .
2. M ake a c itric acid solutio n - 2 te a sp o o n s pe r 1
liter w a te r - and p o u r th is so lu tio n into th e w a te r
ta n k (11). Place th e w a te r ta n k (11) on the co ffe e
m a ker bo d y (3).
3. Insert th e c o ffe e filte r (16) into th e h o ld e r (15),
m a tch in g th e ledg e on the filte r (16) w ith th e slot
on th e h o ld e r (15) and tu rn th e filte r clo ckw ise or
c o u n te rclo ckw ise (pic. 1, 2).
4. W ith o u t a d ding c o ffe e into th e filte r (16) attach
th e filte r h o ld er (15) to the co ffe e m a ker b oiler; to
d o this, place th e filte r h o ld e r handle (13) under
th e m arking «INSERT» on th e c o ffe e m a ker body
(3), in se rt th e filte r h o ld e r (15) into the bo ile r and
tu rn the filte r h o ld e r handle (13) in the d ire ctio n of
the m arking «LOCK» till bu m ping (pic. 3, 4)
5. Place a suita ble cu p on the tra y g rid (2).
6. Insert th e po w e r plug into the m ains socket.
7. Press the «ON/OFF» b u tto n (6) to sw itch th e c o f­
fe e m a ker on, th e in d ic a to r (7) will lig h t up.
8. W ait till the in d ic a to r (5) lights up green, th e n set
th e o p eratin g m o de se le ctio n knob (8) to th e p o ­
sition “ ^ Ь ” , fill a c u p w ith c a p a c ity o f no less than
100 ml, oth e rw ise the b o ile r w ill not fill up w ith c it­
ric acid solutio n, and the d e scaling p rocess will
be unsatisfying. A fte r the cup is fille d w ith water,
sw itch the w a te r s u p p ly o ff by settin g the o p e ra t­

ing m o de se le c tio n knob (8) to th e p o sitio n “ • ”
and p o u r th e w a te r o u t o f th e cup.
9. To clean the steam su p p ly system fro m scale,
sw itch the steam s u p p ly m ode «^IL» on by p ress­
ing the b u tto n (4) and w ait till th e in d ica to r (5)
lights up green.
10. Put th e tip o f th e c a p p u c c in a to r pipe (12) into
th e g lass and se t the o p eratin g m o de s electio n
knob (8) to the po sitio n «^1L» fo r approxim ately
1-2 m inu tes and th e n sw itch th e steam supply
o ff, se ttin g th e knob (8) to th e po sitio n “ • ” and
sw itch th e c o ffe e m aker o ff by pressing th e O N /
OFF b u tto n (6).
11. W ait fo r 10-15 m inutes.
12. Repeat th e p rocedu re d e sc rib e d in paragraphs
9 -10 no less tha n 3 tim es.
13. W ith sm all intervals, repeat th e bo ile r cleaning
procedu re (paragraph 8) till c itric acid solutio n
co m p le te ly resolves in th e ta n k (11).
14. A fte r using th e c itric acid solutio n w ash th e c o f­
fe e maker. To d o this, fill th e w a te r ta n k (11) with
c le a r w a te r till m axim al level and repeat th e p ro ­
ce d u re o f the paragraph s 8, 9, 10 no less than 3
tim e s w ith o u t th e 10-15 m inute break.
15. S w itch th e co ffe e m a ker o ff by p ressing the «ON/
OFF» b u tto n (6).
N o te : To re m o ve the s ca le y o u can u se s p e c ia l
d e s c a lin g a g e n ts fo r c o ffe e m a ke rs a n d c o ffe e
m achines, s tric tly fo llo w in g the in s tru c tio n s on th e ir
usage.
CLEA N IN G
• If d u rin g filte r (16) clean ing you fin d o u t th a t the
o p e n in g s are blo ck e d w ith the ground co ffe e
rem nants, y ou can clean th e m w ith a sm all brush.
• Clean the c o ffe e m a ker bo d y w ith a so ft dam p
cloth , and th e n w ipe th e unit bo d y dry. Do n o t use
m etal b rushes o r abrasives.
• N ever im m erse the c o ffe e m a ker bo d y into w ater
o r o th e r liquids.
• W ash th e rem ovable p a rts o f th e c o ffe e m aker
w ith w arm w a te r and a neutral de te rg e n t, the n
rinse th e m and dry.
D rip tra y (1 )
• Remove th e grid (2) fro m th e tra y (1), remove
th e tra y (1) and p o u r o u t w ater, w ash th e tra y (1)
and pu t it back to its place, pu t th e grid (2) on
th e tra y (1).
STORAGE
• Clean th e unit before ta kin g it aw ay fo r storage.
• Do no t store th e co ffe e m a ker at te m peratures
be lo w 0°C.
• Keep the c o ffe e m a ker aw ay fro m children in a
dry coo l place.
