SAFETY MEASURES
Before using the unit, read these instructions carefully.
Keep these instructions for future reference.
Use the unit according to its intended purpose only, as
it is stated in this user manual. Mishandling the unit can
lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or dam-
age to his/her property.
•
Before switching the unit on, make sure that your
home mains voltage corresponds to the iron oper-
ating voltage.
•
Power cord is equipped with “euro plug”; plug it into
the socket with reliable grounding contact.
•
In order to avoid fire or electric shock do not use
adapters for plugging the unit in.
•
In order to avoid mains overloading do not switch
on many electrical appliances with high power con-
sumption at the same time.
•
Do not fill the water tank with scented liquids, vin-
egar, starch solution, descaling reagents, chemi-
cal agents etc.
•
Do not let the power cord run on the ironing board
and touch hot surfaces.
•
Place the iron on the base (vertically) while work-
ing intervals.
•
Before plugging/unplugging the iron, set the tem-
perature control knob to the minimum position and
switch the continuous steam supply off.
•
Always unplug the iron when you are not using it.
•
To unplug the iron always pull its plug, but not the
power cord.
•
To avoid risk of electric shock, do not immerse the
iron, power cord and plug into water or other liquids.
•
Before taking the iron away, pour out the remaining
water and let the unit cool down.
•
In order to avoid electric shock do not dismantle the
iron by yourself. If the unit has damages apply to the
authorized service center.
•
For children safety reasons do not leave polyethy-
lene bags, used as a packaging, unattended.
•
Attention!
Do not allow children to play with poly-
ethylene bags or packaging film.
Danger of suf-
focation!
•
Never allow children to use the unit as a toy.
•
Store the iron vertically in a dry cool place, out of the
reach of children and disabled persons.
THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USAGE ONLY
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
After unit transportation or storage at low tempera-
ture it is necessary to keep it for at least two hours
at room temperature before switching on.
–
Unpack the iron; remove the protection from the iron
soleplate (14) if any.
–
Check the unit for damages; do not use the iron in
case of damages.
–
Make sure that the voltage of the mains corre-
sponds to the operating voltage of the iron.
AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF FUNCTION
This model has two automatic switching off modes.
1. If the iron remains still for 30 seconds in horizon-
tal position, the heating element of the iron will be
switched off, and you will hear sound signals. The
unit will be switched on automatically once you
resume ironing.
2. If the iron remains still for 8 minutes in vertical posi-
tion, the heating element of the iron will be switched
off, and you will hear sound signals. The unit will be
switched on automatically once you resume ironing.
WATER SELECTION
Use tap water to fill the tank. If tap water is hard, it is
recommended to mix it with distilled water in proportion
1:1, if tap water is too hard, mix it with distilled water in
proportion 1:2 or use distilled water only.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
Before filling the tank with water make sure that the iron
is unplugged.

Set the temperature control knob (11) to the «mini-
mum» position, and the continuous steam supply
knob (3) to the «0» position (pic. 1).
–
Open the water inlet lid (2).
–
Pour water into the water tank (10) with a beaker
(15) (pic. 2), then close the lid (2).
Notes:
•
Do not fill the water tank (10) with scented liquids,
vinegar, starch solution, descaling reagents, chem-
ical agents etc.
•
Do not exceed the “max” mark (13).
•
If you need to refill water during ironing, first switch
the iron off and unplug it.
IRONING TEMPERATURE
–
Always check the recommended ironing tempera-
ture indicated on the tag before ironing.
