TRANSPORTING
While transporting the generator in order to prevent fuel leakage, close the
fuel valve.
Generator's transportation is allowed only if its on horizontal location.
Otherwise, there may be a leak of oil and fuel.
Do not transport the product on long distances if there is a fuel in the tank,
because there can be a risk of leakage.
Make generator's loading and unloading by a specially designed unit for
lifting goods or by protective frame.
Be careful in order not to damage the generator during transportation. Do
not put heavy objects on its top.
STORAGE
If the product is not used for a long time (more than 2 months), it must be
stored in a dry ventilated place, where a temperature is from -15 °C to +55 °C
and a relative humidity is 90%, be covered to keep the product out of the dust
and small debris. The presence of acids vapors, alkalis and other aggressive
substances is prohibited.
During the preparation for the long-term storage:
1. Start the engine and warm it up for 2-5 minutes.
2. Drain the oil from the crankcase. Wash the crankcase and oil filter, after then
fill the crankcase with new oil.
3. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank and fuel system. Remember that the fuel is
extremely flammable and, in certain conditions, can be explosive.
3
4. Fill the hole of the valve cover with 2
-
3 cm of oil and tighten it by plug.
5. Turn the decompression valve lever down to the non-decompression
position.
6. Pull the handle of manual starter two or three times.
7. Slowly pull the starter grip until you feel the resistance. In this position the
piston is at the top point (compression step) and the inlet and exhaust
valves are closed. Keeping the engine in this position can protect its
working chamber from internal corrosion.
8. Clean the product from dirt and dust. Put a thin layer of grease on the sites,
where there is corrosion.
9. Put a generator on a flat surface and cover it with a clean, dry material.
After removing the product from long-term storage:
1. Disconnect the fuel cock and wash it thoroughly.
2. Replace the fuel valve.
3. Close the fuel valve, fill the tank with 1-1.5 liters of diesel fuel, shaking it in
different directions, wash the tank. Drain the fuel.
4. Check the oil level in the crankcase.
CAUTION
!
The generator is very heavy. During the transportation
follow the instructions.
WARNING
!
Do not touch the engine and exhaust system: they are hot
and can cause a fire. Before transporting the generator, let it
cool down.
WARNING
!
Do not move the generator with working engine and with
connected electricity consumers!
NOTE
!
For comfortable generator's transport, there are provided
special transport wheels in the ERS 4.6d model and there are
special transport grip and handling in the ERS 4.6dt model.
Before you transport the device, set the product on the
transport wheels.
WARNING
!
Keeping the product in the same room with flammable
substances, acids, alkalis, fertilizers and other aggressive
substances is prohibited.
