The
Active Preset
is the
Preset
that the receiver is set to. To set the
Active
Preset
, select the desired
Preset
number then click the
Change
button. A
message displays in the
Menu Bar
confi rming that the receiver is now set to
the selected

Click the
Change
button to set the
Active Preset
(see above).
Frequency
(RF Parameters
Section)
Enter the
Frequency
in MHz for the
Active Preset
. Note the pull-down menu
for the two digits after the decimal point. (The frequency entered should
exactly match the setting in your transmitter.)
Modulation
(RF Parameters
Section)
Can be set to types such as
DVB-T
or
SCM-Q
(depends on your
Current
License
). Set the
Modulation
type to match the
Modulation
setting in
your transmitter.
DVB-T
is most common. Note that
SCM-Q
is the desired
Modulation
type for
RangeMaster
.
Constellation
(RF
Parameters Section)
Auto
is the only setting available for
DVB-T
. This auto-detects the modulation
type from the transmitter.
QPSK
is the only setting available for
SCM-Q
.
Guard Interval
(RF
Parameters Section)
Read Only -
Auto
detect is set in
DVB-T
. Not available in
SCM-Q
.
FEC
(RF Parameters Section)
Read Only -
Auto
detect in
DVB-T
.
Can be set to
1/2
,
2/3
,
3/4
, or
1/1
in
SCM-Q
. The higher the value, the higher
the throughput. Lowering this value increases
Forward Error Correction
but
reduces throughput. Set to match the transmitter settings in SCM-Q.
Channel Bandwidth
aka
Bandwidth
(RF
Parameters Section)
Read Only -
Auto
detect in
DVB-T
.
Manual Bandwidth
setting is required in
SCM-Q
mode (for RangeMaster
extended range operation). Always set the receiver
Bandwidth
to match
the transmitter
Bandwidth
. The setting must be from
1 to 2 MHz
. Selecting
a narrower bandwidth will increase the transmission range but will sacrifi ce
some picture quality. Some fi eld testing may be required to arrive at the
optimal trade-off. Do not set higher than 2 MHz. Set to match the transmitter
settings in SCM-Q.
Packet Diversity Control
(RF Parameters Section)
Read Only in normal operation. (Consult the factory for Packet Diversity
operation.) Future use.
