2. When you’re ready to scan, align a document between the Paper

Guides if your scanner has them, and insert the document into the
paper feed slot. Insert face down to scan a single side. To scan both
sides, either side can be face up. Duplex scanning is available with
the Strobe XP 300 scanner.

The scanner grabs the top edge of the paper and automatically
begins to scan and feed the paper through the scanner.

3. You can also click the icon on either OneTouch panel to start

scanning. For instance, you can click the PaperIn icon to start
scanning.

The item is scanned using predefined settings from the OneTouch
software, such as color for magazine articles or black and white for
faxes. To change OneTouch settings, see “Selecting New OneTouch
Scan Settings” on page 54.

A scan progress window opens and then a thumbnail of the scanned
image appears in the destination software.
