10 System Monitoring
10.1 System Logging
The AlphaCom XE provides three types of logs.
● Debugging log
● System log
● Call statistics
Debug log
The debugging log includes low level system events that STENTOFON
software engineers and support personnel use for troubleshooting.
System log
The system log provides technical events for monitoring the health of
the AlphaCom system. The system log includes the following type of
events:
● Board down
● Line error
● Device/card cage error
● AGA/AE1 line error
● System report
● Remote input on/off
● Customized event logging
In AlphaPro, it is possible to configure the events that should be
included in the system log.
● Click the
Exchange & System
icon
● Click
System
● Select
Logs and Errors
● Select the events you want to be reported
● Confirm by clicking
OK
It is also possible to configure customized events in the system log. This
is done in AlphaPro by using Event programming.
Call statistics log
The call statistics log provides an event for each call in AlphaCom XE.
The format of the call events are (valid from AMC SW 10.60):
Call ID ; Sec ; Call State ; From Node ; From DirNo ;
From DispText ; To Node ; To DirNo (Collected digit
SIP) ; To DispText ; Codec/rtp info
Open Call example:
The call has been in private ringing for 5 seconds, then 3 seconds of
conversation.
