DESCRIPTION.
Electronic thermostat for ON/OFF ambient temperature control
(heating and air-conditioning), with possibility of settable tem-
perature reduction cycle, class I temperature control device
(contribution 1%), change-over relay output 5 A 250 V~, power
supply 230 V~ 50/60 Hz - 3 modules.
SCOPE.
The chronothermostat is suitable for ambient temperature con-
trol by regulating the supply circuit of the burner or heat pump
(heating), or the supply circuit of the air conditioner (air condi-
tioning), with the option of entering the adjustable nighttime
reduction (energy saving) in temperature and duration.

INSTALLATION.
The thermostat must be installed in flush or surface mounting
boxes with Idea or 8000 mounting frames and cover plates at a
height of 1,5 m above floor level, in an appropriate position for
measuring the ambient temperature; do not position the instru-
ment inside niches, behind doors and curtains, close to heat
sources or in areas influenced by outside weather conditions.
In particular, it should not be installed on perimeter walls or
near electrical devices which generate heat (e.g. dimmers
or lamps).
The thermostat is designed for use in dry, dust-free
areas with an ambient temperature between 0 °C and +40 °C.

INSTALLATION RULES.
• The installation must be done according to Italian CEI
specifications (or equivalent rules for buildings electrical
installation).
• Disconnect the mains acting on the main switch before
operating on the system.
• Use the yellow/green insulated conductors only for the
connection to the earthing circuit.
• Verify if the supply conductors cross-sectional area is suffi-
cient for the feeded load, in any case it must never be less
than 1.5 mm
2

• Clamp fully, with care, the conductors in the terminals; faulty
clampings can cause temperature rises high enough for a fire
risk

USING THE ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT.
• Set the desired program through the frontal slide switch
OFF
:
- OFF position: the thermostat is switched off
- HEATING position
: the relay output is active when the
ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature
- AIR CONDITIONING position
: lthe relay output is active
when the ambient temperature is higher than the set tem-
perature
• To set the comfort temperature, place the pointer of the knob
at the value of the desired temperature (which is marked on
the knob itself)
• To adjust and start the nighttime reduction:
- set the reduction temperature using the graded knob, with a
setting range from 2 °C to 6 °C
- set the temperature reduction cycle time using the graded
hours knob (12h), with a setting range from 6 to 10 hours
- start the nighttime reduction using the front button, which
may also be used to manually stop the cycle
• Red LED: if lit, indicates that the relay output is active (the set
temperature has not been reached)
• Green LED: if lit, indicates that the nighttime reduction is
activated
Example of entering the reduction.
• To set the comfort temperature at 20 °C, place the pointer
of the control knob with gradations from 5 °C to 35 °C at 20
°C.
• To program a temperature of 16 °C for eight hours starting
from an exact moment (for example from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.),
leaving unchanged the comfort temperature of 20 °C, place
the pointer of the knob with °C gradations at the value 4 and
place the pointer of the knob with hours (h) gradations at the
value 8. At 10 p.m. press the control push to start the tem-
perature reduction automatic cycling and check for the light-
ing on of the green led. At 6 a.m. of the next day the green
led will switch off automatically and the thermostat will control
of the temperature the comfort setting of 20 °C.
The reduced temperature cycle can be interrupted at
any moment pressing the control push and checking the
simultaneous switching off of the green led.
