Colors in the image are
swapped; for example, reds
appear blue or vice versa.
•
The Red/Pr, Green/Y or
Blue/Pb outputs from the
source are connected to the
wrong inputs on the
VDP-80-720.
•
The Red, Green or Blue
(analog) outputs from the
VDP-80-720 are connected
to the wrong inputs on the
display device.
•
Ensure that the source
outputs are connected to
the correct VDP-80-720
input.
•
Ensure that the VDP-80-720
outputs are connected to
the correct inputs on the
display device.
Colors appear incorrect.
•
Source type setting is
incorrect.
•
Input is not properly
calibrated.
•
Specify the correct source
type (refer to
Source Type
on page 27).
•
Calibrate the input, either
manually or -- if the
problem is on Input 3 or 4 --
using the “Calibrate
Component/RGB Input”
command (refer to
White
Balance
on page 31).
Objects appear to be too tall or
too wide.
•
Display device aspect ratio
setting is incorrect.
•
Input aspect ratio setting is
incorrect.
•
Aspect ratio setting is
incorrect at the source.
•
Image size needs adjusting.
•
Make sure the display
device aspect ratio is set
correctly.
•
Make sure the correct input
aspect ratio is selected.
•
Make sure the “television
aspect ratio” setting is 16:9
in the setup menu of all
source devices that support
this feature (DVD players,
satellite receivers etc.),
even if the screen is not
16:9.
•
Adjust the image size (refer
to
Size Adjust
on page 32).
A PC will not drive the DVI
input on the VDP-80-720.
•
EDID information from the
display device was not
received by the PC.
•
Set the EDID setting to
PASS (refer to
EDID
on
page 33). Then, select the
correct DVI input on the
VDP-80-720 and reboot the
PC.
Image appears scrambled.
•
Input signal is 1080p.
•
At the source, adjust output
resolution to 1080i or
lower. Or, if the display
device can accept a 1080p
signal, connect the source
directly to it.
