3.2.2 Alarm groups
When an alarm signal is activated it may be necessary to display a sequence of video inputs. The
alarm group identifies a group of inputs to be displayed. Each alarm contact has its alarm group
defined.
If more alarm contacts are activated at the same time, the corresponding alarm groups overlap in
order to obtain the sequence cycle which includes each of them.
The dwell time (should more inputs be displayed in automatic sequence cycle) is individually set
for each video input.
3.2.3 Alarm type
The alarm signal can be considered as CONTINUOUS or PULSE.
The difference is in matrix behaviour when the alarm signal clears:
•
pulse alarm : the matrix stores the alarm condition waiting for a reset (keyboard, external or
time reset)
•
continuous alarm : the alarm condition is automatically erased, and the matrix restores its
normal function without any kind of reset.
3.2.4 Reset of alarm condition
The alarm can be reset in four ways :
•
keyboard reset: the operator requires the reset, entering the reset password (if defined)
•
external reset: activated by a contact on the DB25 connector
•
time reset : it is possible to select a period of time after which the matrix automatically resets,
from 5 seconds to 1 hour after the last alarm
•
with automatic reset, if the alarm is defined as CONTINUOUS.
3.2.5 Enabling the alarm recognition
Each video output can recognise or not recognise an alarm condition, according to the operating
requirements.
The outputs not concerned by an alarm condition (each of the 16 alarm contacts can be
individually configured) have no indication on screen, and only the keyboard ALARM led (and the
warning buzzer) signals the alarm.
3.2.6 “Only last alarm” parameter
If several alarms are activated at the same time (for example, after the consecutive opening of a
gate, an entrance door and an internal door) the sequence cycle can soon become too long to be
managed in an efficient way. The “only last alarm” parameter will disregard alarms already active
to consider only the last one.
3.3
Identification texts
Each input is identified by a text of max. 24 characters. The matrix has a onboard text generator on output
number 1. An optional ID07 board is necessary for each other output.
In case of alarm the text is preceded by the “ALARM” text.
The text can be presented on a black, white or transparent background in order to improve the readability.
When the VTR trigger is enabled, no text on the channel 4 is displayed.
3.4
Date and hour
Date and hour can be displayed on screen, with configured format and positions.
In the date/hour configuration submenu it is also possible to introduce start and end time of the day
sequence cycle.
