Preparing for Commissioning, Assembling

N O T I CE :

•

Before shipping the embankment flail mower to you, the following
service is done in the warehouse:
Bearings are greased, flails are installed, adjusted, and the bolts are
torqued according to specifications.

•

A PTO shaft is part of the delivery. Ensure that grease nipples are
screwed in tightly. Occasionally, dried paint may cover the end of the
nipples on the PTO shaft. Remove this by scraping the paint off with a
knife before injecting grease into these nipples.

Read and understand all instructions before assembling the EMHD.

5.6.1

Important Assembly Instructions:

PTO Shaft

◼

Ensure that the size of the PTO shaft is correct. After mounting, keep the flail mower as close to
the tractor as possible; the shaft must not get stuck.

◼

Always keep the PTO shaft as straight as possible. Your PTO shaft will be more efficient and
have a longer life if you use it straightforwardly. An angle smaller than 15 degrees is
acceptable.

◼

Ad grease in the PTO shaft junction nipples.

Fill the Gearbox with Oil

Before initial use:

◼

Remove the breather nipple and fill
the gearbox with oil.
The gearbox must be filled 2/3.
Check the oil level in the gearbox
using a dipstick.
Top up if necessary.
Use Oil

SAE-80/95

Fit and tighten the breather nipple.
