5. When using a detector, a resistor should be connected as follows:

Normally Open Detector
: The resistor should be connected to the sensor (
SENS
) and the ground
(
GND
) connectors.
•
Normally Closed Detector
: The resistor should be soldered between one of the connectors and one
of the detector's wires.
NOTE:
Six 1K
Ω
resistors are included.

Step 3: Connecting the Power Supply
To ensure that the Kollector Network Server is protected during a power failure and that no important data is
lost, it must be connected to an uninterruptible power source (UPS) before use.
To connect the UPS:
1. Connect the Kollector Network Server's power cord to the UPS power receptacle.
2. Connect the UPS power cord to the wall outlet.
3. Power on the UPS and ensure that it is working properly.
4. Power on the Kollector Network Server.
