This type of corrosion leads to formation of corrosion particles. The potential is developed between anodes
and cathodes in corrosion particles. The resulting processes influence each other, but they also can occur in
various intervals. The corrosion particles formation can occur due to the potential difference and also in case
of (galvanic) corrosion. It means that between various kinds of metal there is developed the electric contact
by means of an agent transmitting the water ions. All elements with the metal component (mounted parallel
to the surrounding level) that have a larger metallic surface (e.g. heating pumps with condensation filling,
ribbed heat exchangers, electric heating elements) must be insulated from hot water tank. We recommend
the installation of defined contact resistor of nominal value 600
Ω
(if it hasn’t been installed in these elements
before) in order to protect this inserted elements (mounted parallel to the surrounding level) against
corrosion induced by current. The hot water tank must not be transported together with mounted rib heat
exchanger. The installation must be carried out on site.
In case of using very aggressive water that requires a special solution already in the phase of installation the
purchase of a special version of water heater should be considered carefully and in time (in such a case
please contact come of our representatives or directly us). In case you do not adhere to these specifications
it can be recognized as improper use of appliance and the guarantee will no apply to it.
The appliances containing inbuilt heaters supplied by electricity are equipped with safety temperature limiters
that prevent further heating after max. 130 °C temperature has been reached (EN 60335-2-21). Therefore
the connecting elements (fittings, circuits, combined safety valve etc.) must be selected in such a way that
these connecting elements are able to withstand the possible thermostat damage at approx. 130°C
temperature so that the appliance is prevented from damage.
Only the authorized companies can carry out the assembly and installation.
The person who operates the system must ensure that other persons are not injured by boiling
water, first of all in cases the appliance is operated by non-trained persons.
8. Anticorrosive protection
Enamelled boiler is protected by a standard magnesium bar anode. It is a protector-type anode that must be
inspected every two years and replaced in case of need. See DIN 4753. Some models allow the installation
of unattended anodes supplied from outside (optional).
9. Heat indicators, pump thermostat
In case of thermostat installation it is necessary to ensure that the boiler temperature does not exceed 95 ºC
temperature during the normal operation.
10. Putting into operation
The temperature must be above the freezing point in the room where the appliance has to be
installed.
Putting into operation and first heating must be realised by authorised company.
The tank must be filled with water before the first use and connection to the mains. The discharge valve must
be opened during the first filling. Water heater is fully filled when water free of air leaks out from the
discharge valve. During the operation all connecting elements incl. those carried out by the user (flange,
anode sleeve …), must be checked for their tightness. Then it is necessary to check the piping for tightness
and in case of need eliminate all inaccuracies. As described in chapter 2 above it is necessary to check the
safety assembly and valves between the cold water funnel and hot water tank. After the inspection of fuses
(circuit breakers) the thermostat button has to be turned (in case of stationary electric and stationary water
heaters) and set to the required temperature or the temperature of connection must be rechecked.
After the whole tank has been warmed up the set temperature, real temperature of eliminated water and
temperature indicated on inbuilt heat indicator must be strictly consistent (after the elimination of switching
hysteresis and losses in circuits).
By heating the water in tank its volume is changing.
During the warm-up cycle the water evaporated in internal boiler must flow out from the safety valve. This
drain is normal and there is no need to eliminate it by tightening the valves.
Check the function of automatic systems separation and all connected electric heaters or boiler.
Attention: hot water discharging hose or the parts of safety fittings can be hot at the touch of them.
