The inbuilt heating elements must be installed in such a way that the thermostat probe is in the upper part.
6. Central heating connection
6.1 Water heater (boiler) with an outlet
The outlets (heat exchangers) inbuilt in hot water tank make it possible to connect the water heater to any
pressure and temperature indicated on the hot water tank specification etiquette. The rotation speed
developed by means of the pump is required. During the installation of VACUTHERM water heater with an
outlet it is necessary to install the component separating in the flows line in order to prevent the back heating
of the heating circuit at the moment the central heating and heating pumps are switched off or for the
purpose of electric work. But the line of outlet and reserve flow should never be interrupted if it disables the
water expansiveness in the opening (hole) and there is a danger of water heater damage. The outlets must
be thoroughly rinsed out before the first use.
6.2 Water heaters with double shells
A water heaters with double shell only can be connected to water heaters with 110 ºC maximum outlet
temperature and 3 bar pressure. In case of using the pump these parameters can be controlled by means of
the pump regulator (see section 9). In case of installation of a water heater with double shell it is necessary
to install stop valve or circulation brake in order to prevent the secondary heating of heating circuit. It is not
allowed to separate the line of drain and back line if it disables the expansion of water contained in the
double shell because it can result in boiler damage. It is important to adhere to following requirements in the
area of filling: the heater should be put into operation in following sequence – first the internal boiler and then
the central heating system (fill the double shell); emptying must be done in following sequence – first the
double shell and then the internal boiler. It is necessary to check whether the pressure in internal boiler
hasn’t dropped below the pressure in heating system (double shell). Failure to adhere to this condition
results in the risk of internal boiler damage due to excessive relative pressure in the double shell. In such a
case the product guarantee is forfeited.
7. Installation
During the installation it is necessary to adhere to drawings and beware all warnings stated in tables.
ATTENTION: when selecting the place of installation the weight of filled water heater (nominal volume) must
be taken into account in order to prevent the overload of the place that supports the weight of appliance.
The manufacturing documentation or obligatory regulations contain information on admissible distances from
heat appliances.
In case the water heater is equipped with a sufficient lining or it is situated in small and narrow rooms or
between walls it is necessary to check whether all connections (water fittings, points of electric connection
and all installed heat appliances) are free accessible and there is no risk of heat accumulation. A free space
of 500 mm must be ensured for the heating flange.
When selecting and supplying the material for the appliance installation it is necessary to proceed carefully
and possible electrochemical reactions (combined installations!) must be taken into account. Piping must
contain a balanced potential in compliance with DIN 50927.
Tighten the nuts manually and then by 18 Nm torque
up to max. 22 Nm in the indicated sequence.
