If using 5/8" drywall, remove
framing tabs and re-install
on 2nd set of holes

The fireplace must be secured to the floor and/or to framing
studs as shown in
Figure 7
. Use four (4) wood screws or
masonry/ concrete screws to secure fireplace to the floor.
Use four (4) screws to attach fireplace to framing. The side
brackets or nailing flanges are designed to accommodate
two wall boards thicknesses, 1/2" or 5/8".
NOTE
Never install combustible materials over
front face of fireplace.
NOTE
The area above and on the sides of the
fireplace must be a noncombustible material.
