contact information.
Searching for contacts
You can search for contacts by simply entering a
few characters of the name or number of the
desired contact. Potential matches will display on
the LCD screen as you type.
Do the following to search for contacts in the
directory using the handset:
1. Press the
directory shortcut key to open
the directory.
2. Press
to enter a few continuous characters
of the desired contact name or number in the
Search Contacts
field.
3. Contacts whose names or numbers match the
search will appear on the LCD screen.
Placing a call from the directory
1. Press the
directory shortcut key.
2. Press
or
to highlight the desired contact.
3. If the contact has only one number in the
directory, press to call the contact. If the
contact has multiple numbers, use or to
highlight the desired number and then press
to call the contact.
Editing contacts in the directory
To edit a contact in the directory using
the handset:
1. Press the
directory shortcut key.
2. Press
or
to highlight the desired contact.
3. Press the
Options
soft key and select
Edit
.
4. Edit the values in the appropriate
Name
,
Number
,
Mobile
and
Extension
fields.
5. Press the
Save
soft key to save your edits.
Deleting contacts
You can delete a single contact or all your
contacts from your directory.
Do the following to delete a single contact:
1. Press the
directory shortcut key.
2. Press
or
to highlight the desired contact.
3. Press the
Options
soft key and select
Delete
.
4. When the LCD screen prompts “Do you want
to delete the selected item?,” press the
Yes
soft key to delete or the
No
soft key to cancel.
Do the following to delete all the contacts on your
handset’s directory:
1. Press the
directory shortcut key.
2. Press
or
to highlight the desired contact.
3. Press the
Options
soft key and select
Delete All
.
4. When the LCD screen prompts “Delete All?,”
press the
Yes
soft key to delete or the
No
soft
key to cancel.
Speed dialing
Speed dialing lets you press a single digit to dial
a predefined number. It’s especially useful for
numbers that you call frequently or that are hard
to remember. You can set up a maximum of eight
speed dial numbers.
Setting up speed dial numbers
1. Press
to enter the main menu.
2. Select
Settings->Telephone->Speed Dial
.
3. Use
or
to choose the button you want to
assign from the list of available buttons and
then press the
Assign
soft key.
