The battery and its replacement:
When the 9v battery reaches its end-of-life, (voltage < 6V), the battery icon on
the screen begins to flash. You should change the battery either at the end of
the session or when the VEINOPLUS switches OFF.
To replace the battery no tools are needed, just open the cover on the
back of the VEINOPLUS and insert a new battery observing its polarity. It is
recommended to use 9V alkaline batteries of any type listed below: 6LR61,
6LF22, AM6, MN1604 or GP 1604. If other batteries than those recommended
are used, the VENOPLUS may cease functioning effectively or prematurely, but
its safety will not be affected.
The electrode cable and its replacement:
The cable supplied with VEINOPLUS can be replaced, if needed, through your
local VEINOPLUS distributor.
RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH DISPOSAL OF ACCESSORIES OR PRODUCT
There are no risks associated with handling and disposal of waste created by
VEINOPLUS product or its accessories, except for the batteries. The following
precautions relate to batteries:

The batteries must not be exposed to temperatures above 65° C
•
When your device is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery
•
The alkaline battery used in VEINOPLUS must not be recharged as it may
explode
•
The battery must not be disposed into fire as it may explode
•
The battery must not be short circuited, as it may cause burns or become a
fire hazard
•
The battery may explode, catch fire or cause burns if it is incorrectly handled
•
Waste batteries must be disposed of properly, in order to preserve the
environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS FOR USE, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
•
Do not use VEINOPLUS in the presence of working electro-surgery devices
•
Do not use VEINOPLUS near (< 0.5 m) working microwave ovens
•
The VEINOPLUS did not produce excessive electromagnetic interference
(EMI) in tests according to EN 60601-1-2: 2001 standard. However, EMI may
still occur in certain sensitive environments
•
VEINOPLUS must be used in an ambient temperature range of +5 to +40°C
and RH below 70%
