The “TRAFFIC” menu
You can find out about the current traffic situation using the “TRAFFIC” menu. You
also use this menu to configure the settings for dynamic route planning.

The “TRAFFIC” menu is displayed.
The following information is available:

Events
❑
On route:
All traffic obstructions on the route are displayed.
❑
Nearby:
All traffic obstructions within 100km of the current position of your car,
transmitted by the RDS-TMC station, are displayed here.
❑
At destination:
All traffic obstructions within 100km of the selected destination,
transmitted by the RDS-TMC, station are displayed here.

Plan detour
Using this menu item you can plan a detour at any time if you have been notified of a
road obstruction on the planned route.

This function is only available if dynamic route planning is active (see below).

Dynam. route
This submenu allows you to make the following settings for dynamic route planning:

OFF
: No dynamic route planning.
❑
Manual
: As soon as road obstructions are detected on the planned route the naviga-
tion system notifies you and you have the opportunity to start planning a detour.
❑
Auto
: The navigation system plans the route automatically, taking into account the
current traffic situation and, if possible, by-passes the relevant road obstructions.

TMC station
Display of the list of available TMC stations.

Select the station from the list which you want to receive TMC information from.

If the selected TMC station can no longer be received, the unit switches to “Auto”
and searches for the TMC station with the strongest signal.

Select “Auto” for the station with the best reception to be automatically selected
for evaluation of the TMC data.

Please note that the selected RDS-TMC station may not provide any traffic informa-
tion relating to your destination if the destination is located outside the station
range.

Your system must contain activated C-IQ products which support the Traffic info
(TMC) function.
