3.11 Installing Wire Spool
As delive r ed f r om the facto r y, the unit is set fo r a 33/44 lb. o r 12" (300mm) spool.
Installation of wire spool
1. Remove Wi r e Spool Hub Nut by tu r ning counte r clock wise (to the left).
2. Remove the sp r ing f r om the hub.
3. Place Wi r e Spool onto the hub, loading it so that the wi r e will feed off the bottom of the spool as the spool
r otates counte r clockwise. Make su r e to align the spool alignment pin on the hub with the mating hole in the
wi r e spool.
4. If using a 10 lb. wi r e spool place the sp r ing on the exposed hub. Do not use the sp r ing fo r la r ge r wi r e spools
that cove r the enti r e hub.
5. Replace the Wi r e Spool Hub Nut by tu r ning clock wise (to the r ight).
NOTE
The Hub tension has been p r e-adjusted at the facto r y. Howeve r if adjustment is r equi r ed, r efe r to Section
3.12 and Figu r e 3-12.
CAUTION
Use ca r e in handling the spooled wi r e as it will tend to “un r avel” when loosened f r om the spool. G r asp the
end of the wi r e fi r mly and don’t let go of it.
