Maintenance
Cover seal on frame to be treated
with rubber conditioner in regular
intervals.
Once a year grease of push up
locking mechanism and stopper
springs with Gleitmo 815.
(Gleitmo 815 is a special grease
for machine elements subject to
momentary push loads and
vibrations.)
3.2
Inspection
During the yearly master inspection
of the busses the ventilation /
emergency exit hatch must be
included.
NOTE
Inspection must be performed in an
authorised repair shop by skilled
personnel.
Once a year a functional check
of the emergency operating
mechanism must be performed.
The O-ring on the outside emer-
gency handle must be inspected
and greased with Gleitmo 815 prior
to installation. At the same time
assess condition of locking bolts
and replace as required.
3.2.1 Inspection of Locking
Mechanism
CAUTION
The position of the emergency
handles is no indication for proper
engagement of the locking bolts in
the pivot bearings.
A check is performed by visual
inspection. When properly locked
(max. 10 mm penetration of bolt in
pivot bearing) it is not possible to
lift the cover out of its bearings.
