Tips for refrigerating fresh food
• Meat (all types): Wrap in polyethylene and place on the glass shelf above the crisper. Respect
the specified storage periods and use-by dates recommended by the manufacturers.
• Cooked food, cold dishes, etc. :
They must be covered and can be stored on any shelf.
• Fruit and vegetables:
They must be stored in the container provided for this purpose.
• Butter and cheese:
Must be sealed with aluminium foil or plastic wrap.
• Bottles of milk:
Must be closed and stored in the door compartments.
Switching off the appliance
If the appliance has to be switched off for a prolonged period, the following precautions should
be taken to prevent mould.
1. Remove all the food.
2. Disconnect the power supply.
3. Clean and dry the inside of the appliance thoroughly.
4. Make sure the doors are kept slightly ajar so that air can flow inside.
For reasons of hygiene, the appliance (including the interior and exterior accessories) should
be cleaned regularly at least every two months.
CAUTION!
The appliance must be unplugged from the mains during
cleaning. Risk of electrocution! Before cleaning, turn off
the appliance and unplug the power supply.
Exterior cleaning
To keep it looking good, your appliance needs to be cleaned regularly.
• Wipe the digital panel and the display panel with a soft, clean cloth.
• Spray water on the cloth rather than spraying water directly on the surface of the appliance.
This helps to spread the liquid evenly on the surface.
• Clean the doors, handles and surface of the cabinet with a neutral cleaner, then wipe dry
with a soft cloth.
• Thoroughly dry all surfaces and removable parts.
CAUTION!
• Do not use sharp objects as they can scratch the surface.
• Do not use thinners, car detergents, Clorox, abrasive
cleaners or organic solvents such as Benzene. They can
damage the surface of the appliance and cause a fire.
Interior cleaning
The interior of the appliance should be cleaned regularly. It will be easier to clean it there
isn't much food inside.
• Wipe the interior walls of the refrigerator with a weak solution of bicarbonate of soda,
then rinse in warm water with a sponge or wrung-out cloth.
• Wipe until everything is dry before putting the shelves and bins back.
• Thoroughly dry all surfaces and removable parts.
• Although this appliance defrosts automatically, a layer of frost may build up on the internal
walls of the freezer compartment if the freezer door is opened too often or for too long. If
the layer of frost is too thick, wait until you have less food reserves and do the following:
