User’s manual

Material binds blade when ripping.

Fence not aligned with blade. Check and ad-
just fence.
Warped wood. Select another piece of wood.
Excessive feed rate. Reduce feed rate.
Splitter not aligned with blade. Align splitter 
with blade.

Saw makes unsatisfactory cuts.

Dull blade. Sharpen or replace blade.
Blade mounted backwards. Properly mount 
the blade.
Gum or pitch on blade. Remove blade and 
clean.
Incorrect blade for cut. Change blade to cor-
rect type.
Gum or pitch on table. Clean table.

Blade does not come up to speed.

Extension cord too light or too long. Replace 
with adequate size cord.
Low shop voltage. Contact your local electric 
company.
Motor not wired for correct voltage. Refer to 
motor junction box.

Saw vibrates excessively.

Stand on uneven floor. Reposition on flat, level 
surface.
Damaged saw blade. Replace saw blade.
Bad V-belts. Replace V-belts.
Bent pulley. Replace pulley.
Improper motor mounting. Check and adjust 
motor.
Loose hardware. Tighten hardware.
Loose set screw in pulley. Tighten set screw.

Rip fence binds on guide rails.

Guide rails or extension wing not installed 
correctly.
 Reassemble guide rails, refer to fence 
manual.
Guide of rip fence not adjusted properly. Ad-
just guides, refer to fence manual.

Material kicked back from blade.

Rip fence out of alignment. Align rip fence 
with miter slot and blade.
Splitter not aligned with blade. Align splitter 
with blade.
Feeding stock without rip fence. Install and use 
rip fence.

Splitter not in place. Install and use splitter 
(with guard).
Dull blade. Replace blade.
Letting go of material before it is past blade. 
Push material all the way past blade before re-
leasing work.
Anti-kickback fingers dull. Replace or sharpen 
anti-kickback fingers.

Blade does not raise or tilt freely.

Sawdust and debris in raising and tilting 
mechanisms.
 Clean and grease.
