Bus
When in Run Mode, the bus symbols will appear either Black, Red, or Gray.
The color will “depend” on the communications and closed/energized status of the trip unit with the
address that was entered into the bus “Depends” field in Designer Mode.
Black = associated trip unit is communicating, but energized status is not known. (see Section 3 for
“Preference” setting)
Red = associated trip unit is communicating and closed/energized.

“Preference” setting)
Gray = associated trip unit is not communicating.

Description Box
When in Run Mode, the text that appears in the Description boxes is read-only. This text can only be
modified in Designer Mode.
The Description Box is a general-purpose block that can be used to display text in any area of the
Smart 1-Line. Common uses are: Load names, Substation names, Transformer names, Address
indication (if viewing addresses is desired in Run Mode), notes, etc.

Voltage data block
When in Run Mode, the Voltage data blocks will display voltage values from the trip unit with the
address entered into the voltage blocks in Designer Mode.
For AC-PRO-II firmware v1.9 and later, the values will be Line-to-Line (Vab, Vbc, Vca).
For AC-PRO-II firmware v1.8 and earlier, the values will be Line-to-Neutral (Van, Vbn, Vcn).
For AC-PRO, the values will be Line-to-Line (Vab, Vbc, Vca).

Power data block
When in Run Mode, the Power data blocks will display power values from the trip unit with the
address entered into the Power block in Designer Mode.
The Power Block contains:

Instantaneous Real Power (KW) (Kilowatts)
•
Instantaneous Apparent Power (KVA) (Kilovolt-amperes)
•
Instantaneous Power Factor (PF) (%)
