DC and AC Voltage:
The UNITEST Hexagon 710 and Hexagon 720 multimeters
are able to separately indicate DC and AC voltage shares.
When selecting the V~ measurement function, only the AC
voltage shares are indicated as true rms value. When se-
lecting the V= measurement function, only the DC voltage
shares are indicated. When selecting the V= + ~ measure-
ment function, DC and AC voltage shares are indicated.

Select mV or V= voltage range using the measure-
ment function selection dial.

Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and
the red test lead to the
socket.

Select the type of voltage to be measured AC + DC (=
+ ~) using the
key.

Connect the test leads to UUT

Read the measurement result displayed on the
screen.
The multimeter automatically selects the most appro-
priate measurement range (auto-ranging). The
key is pressed for manual measurement range
selection.
If the display is not visible or fluctuating during the meas-
urement, the measurement value can be frozen by pressing
the key.
The UNITEST Hexagon 710 and Hexagon 720 multi-
meters are equipped with an automatic socket control
function (ASC). If a test lead connection is faulty, a
signal sound is audible and the message
InERR
is dis-
played.
