2  Description

2.3  Hand Control

The Tilly basic can be operated with the hand control and on the

control box. The curled cord allows you to stand next to the user

during hoisting. The hand control is used to:

raise or lower the lifting arm.

electrically spread legs.

The control buttons are shown below

2.4  Control box

The motor is controlled by the control box, which is mounted

against the frame between the handlebar.

On top of the control box is a battery that provides the power

supply. At the bottom of the control box are the motor, manual

control and power cord connections.

In the following chapters we will go into more detail about its

operation.

2.4.1  Emergency Stop

By pressing the red emergency stop button (figure 2), the hoist

immediately stops moving.

You can release the emergency stop by turning the knob.

Also use the emergency stop to switch off the hoist when

not needed for a longer period of time. This minimizes the

slow drainging of the battery.

2.4.2  Control box operation

The buttons of the manual control are also on the control box

(figure 2). This can be used when the hand control is not working,

lost or out of reach.

2.4.3  Control lights

There are a number of lights on the control box.

The green control light “

on

” (see figure 1) means that the control

box is on and ready for use. The "

charge

" light next to it lights up

when the battery is being charged.

You can see how full the battery is on the "battery status" lights

(see page 6).

The "

service

" light with the sign of a spanner underneath comes on

when the hoist is due for a service. This will flash orange and can be

reset by a service technician. This is to guarantee that the hoist is

and remains safe.

2.5  Battery

Two types of batteries are available. Lead (Pb) batteries and

Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) batteries. A Pb Battery comes standard with the

hoist.

Pb Batteries are cheaper to purchase and have the property that if

the battery is almost empty the hoist can still be used with the rest

of the electricity, whilst empty Li-ion batteries are completely

empty. Li-ion batteries have a life span of approximately 5 times

longer, are lighter, more environmentally friendly and can be left

unused for longer. The self-drainage is minimal.

(Art. No. Pb battery = 31101070, Li-Ion battery = 31101071)

The battery has a simple mounting mechanism. At the rear of the

battery is a handle with which you can lock and unlock the battery

on the Tilly basic. This is best done by pressing the battery handle

at the top during placement so that the lock is open when placed.

It is also possible to take a second battery with the lift to ensure a

full battery. A separate wall charger can also be supplied here

(32106680).

Always ensure that the battery is sufficiently charged

before you start using the Tilly.
