1.4 The Tilly basic Hoist
The Tilly is a sling hoist intended to provide a passive transfer for
people living at home who are in need of care. The user can be
hoisted with the aid of a sling that is attached to the hoist. The user
can be brought into a sitting or laying position in order to easily
make use of chair to be moved to bed, for example.
The Tilly is a robust, compact, light and manoeuvrable hoist meant
for home care. The operation of the hoist is very straight-forward
and easy.
The hoist is available with a two point spreader bar, manual cradle
or an electrically powered cradle. The two-point spreader bar is for
slings with loops, the manual and electric cradles are four point
cradles for slings with clips. The legs of the frame can be electrically
adjusted in width for better positioning.
The Tilly can be used for the following transfers, among others:
•
From and to a chair, wheelchair.
•
From and to the toilet.
•
To and from shower-bath-toilet seat.
•
From and to a bed, stretcher.
•
From and to the floor.
The difference between this hoist and with the United Care Wendy
Hoist is that the Tilly is more compact. The Wendy has a larger
range and has more options such as integrated weighing scales for
example.
The expected service life of the Tilly, under normal use and under
normal circumstances and with the exception of slings and
batteries, is 10 years (100,000 transfers) with proper maintenance.
