the “calibration” of the Starflow QSD. Later, when all parameters are set accurately these
channels can be unselected.
11.1.
Configuring the Starflow QSD as an SDI-12 Sensor
When the Starflow QSD is an SDI-12 sensor, other SDI-12 recorders can access, and log
data sensed by it. This can be useful if you have something with a limited number of inputs,
such as a Starflow QSD, but would prefer to have all data at a site logged by a single logger.
You could configure the Starflow QSD as an SDI-12 sensor and use a Neon Remote Logger
(IP logger) as an SDI-12 recorder to log the depth/velocity/flow from the Starflow QSD, as
well as whatever other instruments you have (e.g., wind speed/direction, air temperature,
rainfall).
To set a Starflow QSD as an SDI-12 sensor as well as a logger:
1. Click on the Sonic Icon
2. When the SONIC window appears click on the Connect button
