Operation

8.1 Operating conditions

The working area must be dry, fire and explosion pro-
tected and free of any corrosive or poisonous sub-
stances.

The lever hoist must not be used to lift or move danger-
ous goods such as molten, poisonous or radioactive
materials.

Operating temperature range:  -10 °C to  +50 °C

8.2 Test run

Before using the lever hoist to lift a load, a no-load test
should be carried out to test all functions.

8.3 Raising a load

Step 1:  Attach the lever hoist to a suitable carrier with

the carrier hook and close the safety catch.

Step 2:  Set the shift lever to the NEUTRAL position.

Step 3:  Pull through the unloaded chain.

Step 4: Hook the hook of the lever hoist at a suitable at-

tachment point of the load and close the safety
lock.

DANGER!
Danger of life by crashing the load!

Falling loads can cause serious injury or death.
-  Overload is prohibited! Check that the load never

exceeds the maximum load stated on the name-
plate.

-  Loads may only be moved under supervision.
-  Never swing the lifted load.
-  Never step under suspended loads or work there.
-  Under no circumstances may a load be subjected

to a heavy blow or collision.

-  Make sure that the stop on which the lever hoist is

mounted has sufficient load capacity to hold the
load.

-  Never lift a load that can fall off, or fall down, or

whose parts are not firmly connected to each other,
with the lever hoist.

-  Never use a rusted or damaged lever hoist.
-  Never leave a load lifted by the lever hoist unat-

tended.

-  When lifting or lowering a load, make sure that the

operator is out of range of the load at all times.

-  When leaving the workplace, lower the load.

DANGER!
Danger of life by crashing the load!

Unsuitable lifting points can fail and the load can
crash.
-  Only attach to suitable points of the load.

Head protection must be worn!

Use protective gloves!

Use protective boots!

Wear protective clothes!

NOTE!

-  Operating personnel must be familiar with the oper-

ation and functions of the lever hoist and the safety
regulations pertaining to it.

-  The operator is responsible for ensuring that all op-

erating personnel have had the necessary training.

ATTENTION!

The operator must have a clear view over the entire
stroke. If this is not possible, a second person must
be available for instruction.
The operator must check that the entire lifting proce-
dure is safe before operating the hoist.

ATTENTION!

Do not overtighten the load chain with the mode-
selection switch in the middle position, as this will
activate the brake.
RESET: For releasing the brake, pull the load chain a
short distance in the opposite direction.
