Step 1: Hook the load.
Step 2: Lift the load upwards.
Step 3: Lift and lower the load to different heights.
Step 4: Check whether a secure holding of the load is
ensured in every position.
Inspection of the load chain for abrasion
Continuous monitoring of the load chain is a mandatory
requirement in accordance with DIN 685 Part 5 or UVV
BGV D8 § 27 (VBG 8 § 27). The load chain must be
checked after commissioning and under normal operat-
ing conditions after approx. 200 operating hours or
10,000 load cycles, and at shorter intervals in case of
severe operating conditions.
The links should be checked especially at the points of
contact for wear, cracking, deformation and other dam-
age.
The chain has to be replaced in the following cases:
- Reduction of the nominal thickness at the contact
points by 10%.
- Elongation of a link by 5% or the chain over 11
links by 2%.
- stiff drawn chain links.
When the chain is replaced the chain guide has to be
checked and replaced if necessary.

* Nominal values. The concrete value must be measured at the new hook.
The expansion may not be more than 5% of the extent of the new state.

The load hook holding pin has to be replaced as soon
as a deformation is shown (Fig. 7).

ATTENTION!
The brake discs (Standard- thickness 3mm) has to
be replaced when brake disc thickness is 2,5 mm or
less than 2,5 mm.
The brake disk has to be replaced when the secure
holding of the load isn‘t ensured in every position.
ATTENTION!
As spare chain use only original spare chain from
the manufacturer of the hoist.
