12 Disposal, recycling of used devices

Please take care in your own interest and in the interest
of the environment that all component parts of the ma-
chine are only disposed of in the intended and permit-
ted way.

12.1  Decommissioning

Immediately decommission disused machines in order
to avoid later misuse and endangering of the environ-
ment or personal safety.

Step 1: Eliminate all environmentally hazardous operat-

ing materials from the used device.

Step 2: If required, disassemble the machine into easy-

to-handle and usable components and parts.

Step 3: Dispose of machine components and operating

materials by the disposal channels provided.

Failures

Possible cause

Solution

Hoist doesn‘t work

1. Pawl does not engage; possibly

because of pollution.

2. Pawl spring is defect.
3. Ratchet spring is loose or dam-

aged.

1. Clean and lubricate the pawl and

ratchet.

2. Replace pawl spring.
3. Replace or fix the ratchet spring.

Load slides or moves, while it is low-
ered.

1. There is dirt or corrosion at the de-

vice parts.

2. Brake slides as a result of wear or

overload.

1. Clean or lubricate the hoist.
2. Check the brake discs for wear,

replace if necessary. Do not over-
load the hoist.

Load drops as soon as it is lowered.

1. Dirty brake discs.
2. Oily brake discs. The brake discs

must not get in contact with oil or
lubricants.

1. Clean or replace the brake discs.
2. Clean or replace the brake discs.

The lever hoist does not lower the
load.

1. The brake is blocked.  (Lever hoist

was under load for a long time)

2. Brake components are corroded

or damaged.

1. Set the Mode-selection switch to

the AB-Position and pull strongly
at the lever hold. or bring the
brake in starting position (RE-
SET).

2. Replace brake components if

necessary. Keep lever hoist clean
and lubricate it well.

The chain is badly movable even
without load.

1. The gears are heavily worn be-

cause of heavy load or irregularly
lubrication.

1. Replace gear wheels/gear.
