3. Using a 1 7/8” wrench, remove intake
strainer from tank. Clean strainer of all
debris and check for any damage. Replace
if necessary, Fig. 2.
4. Before reinstalling intake strainer to tank,
apply tefl on paste or tape on threads to
help seal threads, Fig. 2.
5. On return line fi lter, remove fi lter cap and
pull out fi lter using pull tabs on fi lter,
Fig. 1. Properly dispose of fi lter and replace
with a new fi lter of exact specifi cations. DO
NOT substitute fi lter specifi cations.
6. Once all components have been reas-
sembled and secured, new hydraulic fl uid
may be added to the hydraulic fl uid tank.
Fill fl uid to the top of the level gauge on
the front on the unit, Fig. 1. There must
be 1 to 1 1/2 inches of space at the top
of the tank. DO NOT over fi ll. Once the
tank is full, secure cap to top of tank.
NOTE: When topping off hydraulic fl uid tank,
always use the same fl uid as what is already
in the tank. DO NOT mix different brands or
types of hydraulic fl uid.
7. With the spark plug removed, the pump
must be primed. To prime pump, rotate
engine by pulling on the pull cord to make
pump cycle. Do this approximately 10 times
to fi ll the intake line.
8. Reinstall spark plug and start engine.
Also to maintain POWER PAK, inspect the
battery. Remove battery cover and inspect
the battery itself, along with any components,
wires and connections for any wear or damage,

Be sure battery strap is secure preventing bat-
tery from shifting inside compartment.
IMPORTANT: When storing unit for long periods
of time be sure battery has a full charge and
then disconnect the positive lead from battery
terminal before storing.
