Step 4: connecting the print head electronics

Mounting the electronics circuit board

6.6.4. Step 4: connecting the print head electronics

The following parts are needed in this step.

Letter Description

Qnty.

Black electronic cable with 3 tiny plugs on both sides

To connect the print head electronics, perform the following actions

From the bottom of the machine, guide the three tiny plugs through
the RIGHT BACK corner of the machine.

Notice: the side with the three smaller plugs shoud be connected to
the print head.

2. Guide the three tiny cable plugs through the cable duct.
3. Plug the RED/BLACK fan connector of the extruder head in the BLUE/

PURPLE connector of the black cable.

4. Plug the RED/BLACK/YELLOW connector (with the dot) on the white

connector of the extruder head (tiny circuit board), see image 126.
OPTIONAL: when you make use of dual extrusion, plug the GREEN/
ORANGE/BROWN connector on the second connector.

5. Turn the machine on its side.
6. Plug in the BLUE/PURPLE plug in the connector called FAN

PRINTHEAD on the circuit board.

7. Plug in the RED/BLACK/YELLOW plug in the connector called TEMP1

on the circuit board.

8. Plug in the GREEN/ORANGE/BROWN plug in the connector called

TEMP2 on the circuit board.
