10. Plug the connection base into the
mains.
11. Place the coffee maker onto the con-
nection base. (Fig VIII). Press the on/off
button (11) and the indicator lamp will
light. (Fig IX)
12. When the brew cycle has finished the
coffee maker will switch itself off automa-
tically and the pilot lamp will go out.
13. Take the coffee maker off the base
and serve the coffee.
If you wish to continue making coffee:
14. Leave the coffee maker to cool down
15. Unscrew the upper body from the
water tank.
16. Clean the top and bottom filters as
well as the gasket. You can now refill the
water tank.
Attention: If the gasket is not perfectly
clean then hot coffee may leak out through
the joint between the top body and the
water tank once it starts to boil.
Always keep the gasket clean.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Make sure that the coffee maker is unplu-
gged and cold before attempting to
clean it.
Never immerse the tank or the connection
base in water or use harsh or abrasive cle-
aning agents on them.
Use a damp cloth to clean the connection
base and the water tank.
The upper body can be rinsed clean un-
der a tap.
Make sure that the filters are not blocked,
if they are: Rinse them under a tap, using a
soft brush if necessary.
When the appliance is not in use, the water
tank and the upper body should be left
screwed together loosely, not tightened.
REPAIRS
Should the appliance become defecti-
ve, do not hesitate in taking it along to an
Authorised Technical Service Centre.

users who fail to take discarded applian-
ces to special refuse collection points
may be penalised. Correct disposal of
discarded appliances means that they can
be recycled and processed ecologically,
helping the environment and allowing
materials used in the product to be reu-
sed. For more information on available
waste disposal schemes contact your lo-
cal refuse service or the shop where the
product was purchased. Manufacturers
and importers are responsible for ecolo-
gical recycling, processing and disposal of
products, whether directly or via a public
system.
Your local town council can provide you
with information about how to dispose of
obsolete appliances.
