Temperature measurement

7.

Open battery case

•

Place the new battery (+pole facing upwards) under the metal
brackets. Press the battery slightly in direction of the start button direction
until it clicks into place under the two plastic brackets.

Push old battery with a thin item or screwdriver in the empty space provided
forward in the direction of the start button.. Remove battery in upward
direction.

•

Close battery case.

•

Change the batteries

Please note:

•

if the empty battery symbol appears in the display after the display test.

-

if nothing is indicated in the display despite of pressing the O/I button
(ON/OFF).

Start-up of the unit

Open battery case

•

Remove contact protecting strip

•

Close battery case

•

Battery change

6.

Press the O/I button. The display test is activated.

•

The value of the last measurement appears
automatically with the symbol «M» (Memory) on
the display.

•

Before the °C or the °F symbol flashes, there is
a beep by which the thermometer indicates its
readiness for measurement.

•

Straighten the acoustic meatus by pulling the ear
upwards and backwards so that the middle ear is
clearly visible.

•

Children under 1 year:
Pull the ear straight backwards.

Children from 1 year and adults:
Pull the ear backwards and upwards.

-

The battery sign is also shown during the display test after activation, then the sign
disappears if the battery is alright.
