Terminal application
The bootloader included in the u-connectXpress software version 4.0.0 or later supports the XMODEM
protocol. The XMODEM protocol uses standard XMODEM-CRC16 protocol and 128 bytes packets.
See Appendix C XMODEM code example for sample code written in C#.
Follow the procedures outlined below to flash the application and SoftDevice using a terminal
application.
Flashing the SoftDevice
1)
Connect to the module using Tera Term, and set the serial settings as shown in Figure 13

Start the bootloader mode using either:

AT command
AT+UFWUPD=1,115200
See u-connectXpress AT commands manual [4] for additional information.
•
Press the SW1 and SW2 buttons during a module reset.
The bootloader prompt “
>
” is seen when the bootloader mode has started.

The bootloader times out and resumes the application after 10 seconds.
3)
The command
x [SoftDevice address]
sets the bootloader in file transfer mode. The address
can be found in the json configuration file included in the software package.
