STOP! Ensure UbiHub is mounted, grounded, and secured firmly in place
before moving on.
CAUTION:
The unit must
be grounded in accordance
with the local codes or
regulations defined by the local
inspector. The surface where
the grounding clamp will be
installed must be prepared to
ensure metal to metal contact.
8.1
The UbiHub supports multiple
backhaul options. Determine which
backhaul option is applicable to
this installation.
8. Backhaul Options

Fiber backhaul

Ethernet backhaul

Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver,
loosen the two screws to open
the UbiHub rear access door.

CAUTION:
Be sure to follow
all applicable safety guidelines
when handling SFP modules.
7.1
The installer will need to select
which grounding option to use
based on local regulations and
guidelines, as well as selecting the
correct grounding clamp based on
arm type, diameter, etc.
7. Grounding Cable Installation
8.3
Follow the instructions below to
connect your backhaul cable to the
UbiHub:
A.
FIBER BACKHAUL
A.1
Ensure the SFP module is
clean. If applicable always clean
the optical connectors with
the cleaning cassette before
installation. Only clean the SFP
module if needed.
CAUTION:
DO NOT touch
or blow into the optical cable
connectors or SFP module.
NOTE:
Steps may vary depending
on what type of SFP module you
are using.
